[NBA] Cleveland Cavalier owner, Dan Gilbert, eat your heart out! – Tola Adenle

Arts & Culture

Just two years ago, Dan Gilbert, in a sour-grape press conference bragged that his team which Le Bron James was leaving for the Miami Heat after his contractual stay with the Cavs was over – would win an NBA crown before the Heat and James. Well, even if he made no reference to James in his tweet last night:

Great NBA season, enjoyed playoffs. Congratulations to Miami & OKC for an exciting
Finals. Back to work on next week’s promising Cavs draft”,

Mr. Gilbert must be swallowing hard whatever is in his throat now.

As the Kid has finally gotten the monkey off his back Mr. Gilbert, it must still hurt that King James has more than proved you very wrong and has now joined the ranks of basketball Greats where he always belonged but with no Ring, it was “where’s the beef”?

James saw a Championship would never be his at the Cavs and he was free to roam. The NBA ring validates and he had to go. Simple, but you took it very badly.
Magic’s excitement in the commentator’s box and Shaquille’s kissing his [Magic] bald head showed the feelings these two Greats had for one joining their rank.

Mr. G., it seems the Cavs always end up being hurt by one they wish is even remotely theirs: Before your time at Cleveland – you must have watched the tape – Game 5 of the 1989 Eastern Conference first round under His Airness; it’s clutch time and Jordan – I remember he wore the red uniform which means it was an away game at Cavs – got the ball, half balanced before sinking a dagger in the form of a fade away jumper , into Cavs heart and the [then] upstart Bulls were just warming up to the start of one of the greatest Championships runs in NBA history.

Sorry Mr. G., may be the Cavs are meant to always be bridesmaids …
