A Senate “with no mind of its own”

What an appropriate description for a do-nothing parasitic body!

Puffing galore!

Alhaji Jimo Ibrahim, Harvard alumnus, PDP (Nigeria’s ruling party) “chieftain”, Air Nigeria’s purported owner, business whiz-kid, etcetera supposedly having financial slow time:

“Business titan”; “visionary”, etcetera are descriptions freely thrown about in Nigeria for every Dick and Harry as long as they can rustle up some “serious new money” as a dear friend recently described a parvenu.  In Nigeria, too, a “visionary” could be a “party chieftain”who is close to the ‘corridors of power” and can win one of those huge contracts that generally do not have to be executed but contract sums are paid.  In short, most of both types would often be found among those who have collectively made Nigeria a poorer country and her masses, collectively more miserable due to their roles on the politics and economy of the country. “AIR JONATHAN …”, on President Jonathan’s latest trip to Belgium barely a week after returning from the Earth Summit in Rio as Nigeria continues to experience deaths through violence, by Tatalo Alamu

I  am beginning to wonder if Jonathan really gets IT, and I do not believe he’s being cordoned off from reality by his own brand of Obasanjo Boys – self-seeking lackeys.  While I did not vote for PDP via Jonathan – and I have never listened to his tv chats or broadcasts – I’m still baffled at the level of world view that I read of our Number One Citizen which does not even begin to talk of the tragedy of the lack of carriage.  “Air Jonathan”, indeed!  Flying all over the world and damning Nigerians to go to hell.  A shame of monumental proportions. emotanafricana.com .
