Yoruba Governors NOT going near Burj Al Arab at Dubai for any parley! – Senator Sola Adeyeye

I can categorically declare that Southwest Governors have never planned to hold a retreat in Dubai. I called four southwest governors IMMEDIATELY after reading this article. Three of them emphatically denied any knowledge of such a retreat. Obviously, those who created the story are masterminding a careful campaign of calumny. Fortunately, an allegation does not become true just because it is made through a newspaper, chat medium or blog.

It is sad that Nigeria is now riddled with an industry that churns out endless awards and meaningless retreats. There is hardly a governor or legislator who has not been offered one award or the other. The malignant mess sprawling across Nigeria makes a huge mockery of these awards. Furthermore, Members of the Award industry unscrupulously mislead the public by advertising “big names” as attendees.

I apparently guessed correctly that it was from the rumor mills, and it brings to the fore why the governors – I mean that in a generic sense – must always move near the governed. It kills the basis of rumors: lack of information.I’ll go ahead and post your fact-finding effort to ensure the over 500 people on my e-list – among whom is your distinguished self – receive it before nightfall!Go Gator!!!
