The so-called Nigerian Governors’ Forum”: Acquired Instability Destabilization (AID) brings more Nigeria’s political chickens home to roost

The link below is to a very hot story on an issue that is tearing the country’s political class apart.  I’ve also included a blogger’s hilarious though very sober reflection on the whole brouhaha, a blog which has called up some great African literary books, including Achebe’s No longer at ease” and Things Fall Apart; Soyinka’s The Man Died and The Trial of Brother Jero and Ngugi’s Weep not, Child.

Check out the Punch news report and see how relevant Mr. Okunniga’s contribution which may appear as “playing tennis without a net” as Robert Frost describes free form poetry – is to the new political palaver at Nigeria’s collective hand.  TOLA.

It is No Longer at Ease at the Nigeria Governors’ Forum

Things fall apart for they rejected A Man of the People
Has The Man died in this Forum?
Or was this the Arrow of God striking the Anthills of the Savannah?
Nay, this was indeed The beautification of Area Boy
For The Trial of Brother Jero has just begun
Weep not Child for it is No Easy Walk to Freedom
