With all the precautions in place and observed, this is one situation that we have to pray to God to save us. Prevention is better than cure they say but still those who are treating the patients and observing necessary precautions are still infected. This shows human imperfection and we need to pray to our creator for protection and to help us wipe out this virus from earth. May God not punish us for our sins. I pray all concerned with contacting the virus be given divine healing. Amen.

      Dear Fatai,

Thanks v. much for this. Isn’t it unbelievable that the world is already gripped by another virus, this one apparently deadlier than HIV/Aids? And isn’t it really sad that this man died in the line of duty he could have rejected?

All we can and should do about Dr. Brantly is to pray for his recovery as well as pray that his wife does not get infected. They do not deserve this.

Please and paste the URL for the U.S. State Department’s ways of avoiding infection and send it to friends and family as well as on the website of Charleans if it is not already up. It is a comforting piece of information sheet that should put our minds a bit at rest in place of the hysteria the ebola virus has thrown all of us.

      REgards,
      TOLA.

It has already been posted to the Charlean website as I received it through another medium before yours. I am also sending it out through whatsapp and facebook. We need to enlighten as many people of the public as possible. May God vontinue to save us as we take precaution to protect
        ourselves.

I wish Dr. Kent Brantly a miraculous recovery. What a noble spirit, so selfless to risk his life helping fellow human beings.
One big question: Why is this ebola virus epidemic the most deadly ever?

      Dear Prof.,

Thanks for this, and thanks for the goodwill message for Dr. Brantly. May God grant him full recovery and we also should remember his wife who is in Liberia for this very selfless mission that she will be kept safe from the virus. These are people whose interest centered around helping their fellow human beings. May God grant him recovery and be with the wife.

As for your question, I think we should ask medical people like you why this is approaching the proportion of the bubonic plague of the Middle Ages. I still find it difficult to believe that in my lifetime, there will be a deadlier virus than the HIV.

      Regards,
      TOLA.

ps. Please pass the U.S. State Dept’s guide for preventing infection to friends and family; it was posted yesterday.
