2014 WTA Championship Final: “Strong is beautiful” in more ways than one! – Tola Adenle

October 27, 2014

Sports, Women

As Serena Williams ends yet another year of reign as Number 1 and the Women’s Tour champion, the 2014 Singapore tournament is, perhaps, the most interesting ever offering tennis fans access online and on tv to various activities scheduled along with the competition.

There was tennis, tons of it – by Rising Stars, Legends and the Elite 8 of the game AND there was a lot of glamor.  I’m sure it showed little girls interested in playing sports – tennis or any other – that femininity is not in any way diminished by playing sports at professional level.

Congratulations to Serena on winning the 2014 WTA Championship Trophy, and congrats, Simona for the runner-up trophy. You are definitely set on the path of tennis greatness.
