NIGERIA: withdraw police orderlies from politicians and individuals – Tola Adenle

March 12, 2016

Nigeria

I was of the impression that a country where there exists the possibility of having a police of one’s own was at the end when I saw an announcement that made me post the essay – see below link – several months ago. The photograph used to illustrate the story is worse than demeaning. Apparently, it wasn’t over yet at the time.

CHECK OUT THE PHOTOGRAPH:

With the announcement of the Inspector General of Police’s announced withdrawal of police orderlies from politicians and individuals recently, one can really hope the era of policemen as messengers, “houseboys” and “housegirls” for wealthy Nigerians will finally come to an end. TOLA
