The Niger Delta: American journalist asks President Buhari about inclusive government despite challenges … & the president’s answer

October 23, 2016

Nigeria

A reference to the tape was made in the obituary for Ken Saro-Wiwa, Jr. last week but thought including the actual tape in the post would not only be diversionary but disrespectful to the memory of the young Sar0-Wiwa. The obit., reference below, needs to be read first to understand why the thought of including it did go through my mind before I cancelled it.

With people reaching out to me about the referenced tape, I am posting it as a separate material so that those on on my eList would also get the opportunity to watch and listen to it like the larger audience I get through search engines whose visits will continue for years to come after the matter would have been forgotten.

The points raised in the American Journalist’s Question to President Buhari during his recent US visit, went along the following line of thought:

… The Niger Delta is a challenge; how will the president handle amnesty, bunkering and inclusive governance/government …?
