… as skeptics like this blogger would believe, did President Buhari take the step he has done after all the negative publicity started?
Ahmed Ndimi’s Hundred miilion-DOLLAR account balance from Facebook in 2013
This story would most likely NEVER have merited a space here if it was a story I read with no link to a bizarre past posting of a story a story that I found symptomatic of the way things go in Nigeria these days with parvenus.
Ahmed Ndimi , about whom I expressed doubts last week whether he’s the same guy who was reported to be getting ready to wed President Buhari and I wondered if he may actually be the same young man who posted his bank balance on Facebook back in 2013, IS the same person if information about his family that I’ve now checked online are true.
The same type of “madness in Nigeria” that would make somebody post a balance of a hundred million US Dollars – minus less than two hundred thousand Greenbacks – online for the world to see would also qualify the story of the same young man delivering thirty pieces of Louis Vuitton luggage that reportedly cost over 120,000 Pounds to his in-laws to be – the President and his wife, Nigeria’s First Lady – in thirty expensive cars as another “madness in Nigeria”.
The bridal gift was reported several Nigerian news onsite as being responsible for the postponement of the wedding from this week because Buhari does not approve such.
When the daughter of Nigeria’s President, a man millions of Nigerians championed and believed in – in the past – and voted for because of his ascetic and corruption-averse characteristics, it becomes news that go beyond society or gossip journalism if the daughter of such a respected leader is getting married to a very young man whose stupendous wealth has led him to very obscene behaviors.
The point that is troubling is whether the President was unaware of Ndimi’s stupendous wealth, especially as it’s from oil as reported in the news over three years ago. And did he and the First Lady not know anything about Ndimi’s wealth until thirty exotic cars started pulling into the presidential villa laden with Louis Vuitton luggage?
Or, as skeptics like this blogger would believe, did President Buhari take the step he has done after all the negative publicity started?
