Nigeria’s religious problem with Fulani herdsmen leads ‘Winners’ Bishop Oyedepo to call on “God’s wrath” on people behind Christian killings & church burnings – Tola Adenle

Faith, Nigeria

The General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, a.k.a. Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has added his voice to the raging calls by millions of Nigerians and organizations, including the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), for government to investigate and deal with those behind the killings of Christians and burning of churches.

In reference to the homeland of the assault-rifle carrying Fulani herdsmen in Northwestern Nigeria, a group whose actions have been variously described as “Jihad”, “terrorism”, “ethnic cleansing”, et cetera, Oyedepo – a “shepherd” – wants the faceless people behind the killings and burning to “face the wrath of God.”

In a fiery sermon as seen in a video that is drawing attention on facebook, Oyedepo called on God to do justice to those he describes as “enemies of Nigeria” because – in his words – Nigeria is not a Fulani Republic, and prays God to bring “the manipulators and those who want to implement such agenda” that has led to the many killings of Christians in Nigeria down because Nigerians “did not sign a deal to live together as a Fulani Republic …”

In an aside to government’s excuses on the deliberate slaughter of Christians that it is caused by Libyans, Nigeriens … from outside the country and other excuses as well as Buhari’s government failure to find those behind the problem and deal with them deal to end the incessant killings and mayhem, Oyedepo drew applause from his congregation when he said, “now in Nigeria, cows are more valued than human lives …”!

Below is the video by Aliyu Adekunle from his facebook page.
